Fiji wins NZI sevens
Fiji started well with Jiuta Lutumailagi scoring the first try from a Osea Kolinisau break.
Fiji led 7-0 before Mikaele Pesamino scored to a try to level the score 7 all.
At the start of the second half Fiji scored a converted try to captain Emosi Vucago for a 14-7 lead.
Osea Kolinisau continued his fine performance with a try in the corner.
Samoa came back strongly with a try for a 19-14 score line and could have won the game at the stroke of fulltime but the Fiji defence held their own for Fiji to win.
After the New Zealand 7's final the Kiwis still lead the points standing with 64 points.
They are followed closely by Fiji on 60 points
Samoa beat New Zealand 24-14 in the first semifinal while Fiji defeated England in the second semifinal 28-19.
The next IRB 7s tournament next weekend in USA will be held in Las Vegas.
