Meanwhile, USA beat Canada by 12 points to 10 to take the Shield, a tired looking England edged past six-man France 26-15 to claim the Bowl and New Zealand beat Trans-Tasman rivals Australia 34-12 to take the Plate.
Looking at the points table after the Edinburgh Sevens, South Africa is in first place on 132, Fiji is second on 102 and England is third on 98 points.
