The National 7s side has won the Bowl competition at the USA 7s beating Kenya 35-0.

It was a scrappy performance from Fiji but they manage to score five unanswered tries through Lepani Botia, Donasio Ratubuli, Samisoni Viriviri, Henry Seniloli and Leo Naikasau.

Fiji led 19-0 at half time.

Meanwhile, South Africa has defended their USA 7s title after beating New Zealand in the final 14-12 and is also the first team in the world series history to win back to back titles.

The South Africans won their own tournament last month.

Canada defeated Samoa 22-19 in the third place playoff, England beat Australia in the Plate final 26-24 while USA thrashed Spain in the Shield final 31-0. 
 
Earlier on, the Fiji 7s side survived an early scare from Wales in the Bowl semifinal and went on to beat Wales 40-12. 

Fiji got off to a shaky start but dominated the game late in the second half scoring six tries through Semi Kunatani, Samisoni Viriviri, Osea Kolinisau, Emosi Mulevoro, Donasio Ratubuli and Samu Saqiwa.

Fiji led 19-5 at halftime.
 
Fiji earlier beat Uruguay 38-14 in the Bowl quarterfinal yesterday  

Despite an improved performance coach Ben Ryan has sent a stern warning to the players that he will be forced to make changes if the players don't lift their performance.

This was revealed in Ryan's halftime message to the players against Uruguay where he said and I qoute “When the plane lands at Nadi Airport I will make sure I will make changes if you do not improve your performance” end quote.

In the cup semis, defending champion, South Africa beat Samoa 14-0 and NZ defeated Canada 26-7.

In the Cup quarterfinals, South Africa beat Argentina 36-0, Samoa edged Australia 12-10, New Zealand beat England 24-7 while Canada defeated France 17-14.
