Iokoba Taberanibou won gold in the men’s category while Merewalesi Rodan took out gold in the women’s division.
John Christopher settled for a bronze medal in the Para Table Tennis men’s singles final.
Meanwhile, the Fiji Swimming team settled for two bronze medals and a silver medal last night.
Matelita Buadromo finished second in the women’s 400m Freestyle final, Cheyenne Rova settled for a bronze medal in the women’s 100m Backstroke final while Fiji came third in the 4x50m mix Medley Relay final.
The women’s 100m Breaststroke heat starts at 12.06pm today while the final starts at 8 tonight.
The Vodafone Fiji 7s team continued their fine performance at the Pacific Games.
Fiji thrashed Solomon Islands 59-0 in their third game last night.
Kitione Dawai scored 4 tries for Fiji.
Fiji also beat Papua New Guinea 17-0 and Guam 59-0 yesterday.
They will face Tahiti in their last pool match at 4.20pm today.
The gold medal quarterfinals will start at 3.06pm tomorrow.
Samoa is the defending champion.
In the women’s 7s competition, the Telecom Fijiana 7s team thrashed PNG 29-0 in their 3rd match last night.
They had beaten Samoa 33-0 and lost to Australia 26-7.
The Fijiana team will play Tahiti at 3.28pm today and Tonga at 6.46 tonight.
In basketball, the Fiji men’s team lost 75-72 to Guam last night.
The women’s team will play in the playoffs at 2pm today.
Looking at the Fijivillage Pacific Games medal tally, Papua New Guinea is leading with 20 gold, 12 silver and 7 bronze.
Samoa is in second place with 14 gold, and 14 silver, Tahiti is in third place with 11 gold and 10 silver and 6 bronze, New Caledonia is now in fourth place with 11 gold and 6 silver and 8 bronze, and Australia is in fifth place with 8 gold, 14 silver and 10 bronze.
Team Fiji is in sixth place with 7 gold, 11 silver and 11 bronze.
