Fiji will not be present at the Pacific Islands Leaders Forum to be hosted by Australia in Cairns next week, however, Fiji is still expected to take center stage at the talks.
In a rare interview with Australian broadcaster SBS One Dateline, Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama spoke to Mark Davis on the upcoming forum and lashed out at Kevin Rudd and his government.
Commodore Bainimarama reiterated that Australia and New Zealand are bulldozing their way in the Forum to push their agenda against Fiji.
Bainimarama said Fiji cannot wait twenty years to bring about the required reforms and only the military can achieve these radical changes.
The Pacific Islands Leaders Forum will be held from the 4th to 7th August in Cairns.
