FASANOC President, Vidya Lakhan has reassured the supporters of Netball Fiji that they will take it up in their next Pacific Games meeting to include netball in their sports program for next year.
This comes after New Caledonia decided not to include Netball in the Pacific games which they will host as it is not a common sport in their country.
Lakhan said that in this situation, the host country is given first preference on the sports they want to feature at the games and it is out of their control.
However, if they continue with their stance than Fiji will have "One Gold" less to defend.
Netball Fiji Interim President, Wainikiti Bogidrau said the decision was expected.
However, it will not hinder their development as Fiji will be taking part in the Pacific Series that will be held in Papua New Guinea, around the same time.
