The Vodafone Fiji Sevens team will clash with England in the Cup final of the 2015 Dubai Sevens.
Fiji beat New Zealand 19‑5 after a strong second half performance in their Cup semifinal match while England defeated the USA 24‑16.
New Zealand kept Fiji scoreless in the first half and took a 5‑0 lead at the break.
Declan O'Donnell scored New Zealand's only try in the match.
Viliame Mata was the first player to cross the try line for Fiji in the second half and this levelled the scores at 5‑5.
Fiji then took the lead for the first time in the match when Pio Tuwai showed a class of individual brilliance and scored a successfully converted try. Fiji led 12‑5.
Jasa Veremalua then sealed the win for Fiji with a try that was first initiated by Pio Tuwai.
Speaking after the match, Coach Ben Ryan said New Zealand had a gameplan to dominate the breakdowns and Fiji did not work well in countering that in the first half.
The Vodafone Fiji Sevens team last won the Dubai Sevens in 2013.
Fiji will meet England in the Cup final of the 2015 Dubai Sevens at 4.48am.
Japan will meet Canada in the Shield final at 2.57am.
France will clash with Scotland in the Bowl final at 3.25am.
Australia face South Africa in the Plate final at 3.53am.
New Zealand meet the USA in the Bronze final at 4.23am.
