The climax of the 2014/2015 World 7s Series is near and all eyes will be on the Vodafone Fiji 7s team if they can continue their fine performance and win the World 7s Series title.

The Vodafone Fiji 7s team has achieved a 100% record from their 27 pool matches in this season’s World 7s series.

Coach Ben Ryan says he is pleased that they have done the whole season unbeaten in the pool stages and that’s a big achievement.

Fiji thrashed Canada 31-14 in its last pool match of the England 7s.

The side also defeated Argentina 24-19 and Samoa 26-12 in its two other pool matches.

Ryan says the mission now is to beat South Africa tonight.

He adds they are in control of their own destiny and will treat the quarterfinal game as the final.

A win for Fiji will guarantee them a second World Series title in 16 years and first since 2006.

Fiji will meet South Africa at 9.28 tonight in the first Cup quarter-final.

In the other Cup quarterfinals, Scotland will play Australia at 9.50pm, USA will take on Canada at 10.12pm while New Zealand will face England at 10.34pm.

The Cup semis are at 1.18am tomorrow while the Cup final is at 4.27am tomorrow.

Looking at the last round of pool matches this morning, Scotland beat England 22-19, New Zealand defeated Australia 24-10, Wales beat Japan 24-21 and Kenya defeated Brazil 19-14 and South Africa lost 21-12 to USA.
