Fiji to play for 9th to 16th play-off
Poor game plan execution and below par fitness level contributed to the 80-25 loss to New Zealand in the opening game and also in yesterday's 58-40 loss to Trindad and Tobago.
It was evident that the third and last quarter is where Fiji struggled to keep up, losing to the 8th ranked Trindad and Tobago side.
Fiji will now play for the 9th to the 16th play-off tomorrow although they still have to face Wales today.
The two straight loss means Fiji will also drop from the current 5th IFNA rankings.
Fiji will play Wales at 5.15pm today.
Meanwhile, in yesterday's other matches, England beat Barbados 74-42, Samoa edged Sri-Lanka 57-53, New Zealand thumped Wales 91-21, Jamaica beat Botswana 74-23, Australia beat Northern Ireland 75-33, South Africa defeated Singapore 70-33 and Malawi beat Malaysia 66-35.
