The Vodafone Fiji 7s team will play defending champions and host New Zealand in their medal quarterfinal at 12pm today.

Fiji finished runners up in pool b after winning two games and losing one.

Fiji beat Australia 26-12 before thrashing Japan 56-0 before losing to South Africa 31-12.

New Zealand remained unbeaten on day one of competition after beating Samoa 33-7, beating France 21-14 before ousting USA 24-12.

If Fiji beats New Zealand they will then play England or Scotland in the first medal semifinal at 4.16pm.

In other medal quarter final England will Scotland, Canada will play Argentina while South Africa will play France.

The first medal quarter final is at 11.38am.
