Fiji soccer team will not take part in the Oceania Beach Soccer playoffs later this month.

The Fiji FA Council said that most of the district officials are reluctant to release their players with the National Soccer League competition heating up and the Battle of the Giants soccer tournament to be held in early August.

Fiji FA President Doctor Samsud Dean Sahu Khan said they will inform Oceania Football soon that they have pulled out from this year's Beach Soccer which is scheduled to be held in Tahiti.

Meanwhile, Nasinu soccer has lost three points in the National Soccer League competition.

This is after they lost the protest against Tavua for fielding unregistered players in their 3-1 win a fortnight ago.

Nasinu now have 13 points.

But super Premier Division teams received good news yesterday that there won't be any demotion.

Next year's League will again have 10 teams and the major tournaments will remain as it is with 60 minutes of soccer rather than having the new format of 90 minutes in tournaments.
