The Vodafone Fiji 7s team will meet USA in the Vancouver 7s cup quarter-finals tomorrow after Fiji defeated Kenya 24-19 in its last pool game and topped Pool A.

Kitione Taliga once again put up a heroic performance scoring a last minute try to break the hearts of the Kenyan fans and also allowed Samoa to go through to the cup quarters tomorrow.

Both teams were locked 12-all at half time with Kenya playing a similar type of game that Fiji was playing.

Jasa Veremalua again played a huge role in the game scoring two tries while the other tries were scored by Emosi Mulevoro and Kitione Taliga.

Meanwhile, Samoa finished second in Pool A as they beat Portugal 43-7 and also defeated Kenya 26-19.

Fiji will meet USA at 6.08am tomorrow in the first cup quarterfinal and should they progress to the cup semis, Fiji is expected to meet either South Africa or Wales.

In the other cup-quarters tomorrow, South Africa will face Wales at 6.30am, Samoa will take on New Zealand at 6.52am while Australia will meet Scotland in the last quarterfinal at 7.14am.

The cup semifinals will be at 10.08am tomorrow while the Cup final will be held at 1pm tomorrow.

Just looking at the results of the last round of pool games today, Australia thumped Wales 49-14, New Zealand beat USA 17-5, England edged France 14-12 while South Africa thumped Argentina 27-0.
