The Digicel Fiji 7's team is likely to meet Samoa in the final of the FORU 7's in Apia today after both sides went through their pool games unbeaten.

Fiji started slowly yesterday with a 21-0 win against Tonga before moving up another gear with a 48-0 win over Papua New Guinea and 47-0 victory against New Caledonia before thumping American Samoa 61-0.

Fiji has a clean sheet going into the elimination rounds with most of the new boys being tested to see which combination coach Josateki Savou will take to the quarterfinal against Cook Islands in the next hour.

Fiji has Samoa as their biggest threat with the likes of Lolo Lui, Uale Mai, Simaika Mikaele, David Lemi, Ofisa Treviranus and Alatasi Tupou in their line-up.

Samoa beat Niue 47-0 then defeated Australia 35-12 before recording their biggest score for Day 1 with a 60-0 win against the Cook Islands.

At 11.22am Tonga meets Niue, Australia will play PNG at 11.44am and the last quarterfinal is at 12.06pm, Samoa will meet American Samoa.
