Fiji is expected to receive immense exposure from an upcoming reality show "Are you the next Bollywood Star" as representatives from one of India's general entertainment channel will be in Fiji to conduct auditions to select a Fiji contestant for the show.
The group from Imagine TV will be in the country next month and Fiji Audio Visual Commission Acting CEO, Florence Swamy said Fiji's profile in Bollywood would definitely lift after the show is launched with a Fiji participant.
She said with millions of viewers watching the show, the exposure that Fiji will get will be immense.
Thirty contestants from around the world including Fiji between the ages of 16 to 24 years will be given a life time opportunity to learn from the best in the industry.
The contestants will go through a month’s training with stalwarts and super stars from the Indian Film industry, and the winner will get a film contract with an eminent director from the Indian film fraternity.
Auditions will be held in Suva on 4th November.
