The Vodafone Fiji 7s rugby side will play South Africa at 6pm in the New Zealand 7s semifinals after beating Argentina 29-7 in the quarterfinals.

There were some scrappy play due to the conditions but Fiji managed to score three tries in the first half to lead 19-0.

Emosi Mulevoro scored the first try after some great handling skills before flying Samisoni Viriviri sliced through the Argentinean defense to score under the post.

Benito Masilevu outpaced the Argentina defense to score in the corner before halftime.

Fiji conceded nine penalties in the match as a result Semi Kunatani was sent off in early second half.

Kunatani scored two tries after spending time in the bin to seal the win.

Meanwhile, Captain Osea Kolinisau is out and Lepani Botia is now leading the side.

Looking at other quarterfinal results England defeated Samoa 21-5, New Zealand hammered Canada 24-0 and South Africa defeated Australia 10-0.

England will play New Zealand in the first Cup semifinals before the Vodafone Fiji 7s team meets South Africa at 6pm.

The Cup final will be held at 8:30 tonight.
