The Fiji national men’s hockey team will play their first game in the round one of the Federation of International hockey league against Papua New Guinea at 10 this morning while our women’s team will face Vanuatu at 4 this afternoon.

Meanwhile, Presidents eleven’s men’s team lost to New Zealand Maori 3-2 in a friendly match yesterday.

The Presidents XI team was brought in to provide a warm up game for the Kiwis as the Samoan men’s team failed to make it to this tournament. 

In other results the Australian country women’s team thrashed New Zealand Maori 3 nil.
