The Vodafone Fiji 7's team will face Australia in the second Cup semi-final of the 2016 Oceania 7's at 2.55pm today.

Samoa will meet PNG in the first Cup semi-final at 2.34pm.

Fiji’s Interim coach Nacanieli Cawanibuka says he is looking forward to much stiffer competition in the tournament today.

He says this will give them a good indication on the type of players they want to take for the new World Rugby 7's series.

Cawanibuka is also impressed with Joeli Lutumailagi’s performance. 

Looking at the results of the last round of pool games today, Cook Islands beat Solomon Islands 22-12, PNG thumped American Samoa 45-14, Samoa beat New Caledonia 31-0 and Tonga defeated Nauru 34-5.

The Cup final will be played at 7.08pm.

Meanwhile, the Telecom Fijiana is also been unbeaten in the tournament and will now face Solomon Islands at 1.06pm today.

Fiji and Australia are the only unbeaten teams in the women’s competition.

The two sides will face off at 6.40 tonight. 

This match is expected to confirm the winner of the women’s competition.
