The Digicel Fiji Sevens team is through to the Cup quarterfinals at the Australia Sevens in Adelaide after beating France in their second pool match by 21 points to 10.
Fiji scored three converted tries in the first spell through Nasoni Roko, Vereniki Goneva and Niumaia Cakacaka.
But failed to cross the tryline in the second spell which was dominated by the French as they managed to score two tries.
Fiji will now face Argentina in their final game at 6:56pm today.
This match will decide which team will head into the last eight as pool winner.
Meanwhile, other teams that are also through to the Cup quarterfinals are New Zealand, Australia, Argentina, South Africa and Kenya while the England/Samoa match at 6:34pm will decide who qualifies for the last eight plus either Wales or USA depending on their results.
The games played so far in day two saw, New Zealand beat Tonga 33-0, Wales defeat USA 24-17, England won over Portugal by 29-0, Australia caused an upset beating Samoa 26-19, Argentina defeated Scotland 12-7, South Africa beat Japan 43-0 and Kenya outclassed the Cook Islands 27-0.
