The Digicel Fiji 7s team is through to the semifinal of the USA 7s after beating Samoa 17-12 in the quarter final this afternoon.

Fiji scored their first try from Waqabaca Kotobalavu after a cross kick from Nikola Matawalu for a 7-0 lead just after 2 minutes of play.

Again Matawalu showed his strength to score Fiji second try as they lead 12-0 at half time.

In the first quarter final, England beat Kenya 28-14 and they will play the winner of the last quarter final between South Africa and Australia in the first semifinal tomorrow morning at 8.13am.

New Zealand had to come from behind and beat Argentina 47-7 in the second quarter final and they will meet Fiji at 8.35am tomorrow.

Fiji beat Canada 33-0 in the first game and had a 31-14 win against Scotland before thumping Australia 35-10 in their last pool game.
