The Vodafone Fiji 7s team have won their second game 56-0 outclassing the Japanese side at the Wellington 7s. 

Fiji’s first try was scored by captain Osea Kolinisau after a great assist by Jerry Tuwai which was converted.

Kalione Nasoko scored Fiji’s second try which was once again converted.

Sevuloni Mocenicagi scored Fiji’s third try and just before half time Jerry Tuwai with his trade mark side step beat the Japanese defense as Fiji led 28-0 at half time.

Coach Gareth Baber challenged the players to keep the momentum going into the 2nd half and score first.

The team obliged to their coaches request as Vatemo Ravouvou scored the first try of the 2nd half and converted it himself .

Amenoni Nasilasila scored Fiji’s second try in the 2nd half after some good work by veteran Joeli Lutumailagi as Fiji led 42-0.

Samisoni Viriviri scored Fiji’s 7th try while Lutumailagi scored Fiji’s 8th and final try for a final score 56-0.

Meanwhile earlier in the day  Fiji  won their first game at the Wellington 7s defeating Australia 26‑12 this morning.

Fiji will play their last game at 6.18 tonight against South Africa.

Nemani Nagusa has been suspended for 6 matches after being found guilty of contact with the eyes of an opponent and he will miss the rest of the tournament.

In other results England beat PNG 40-0 , South Africa thrashed Japan 33-0, New Zealand beat Samoa 33-7 and Canada beat Wales 28-5.
