The Vodafone Fiji 7s team has started their Vancouver 7s campaign on a high note after they thrashed Samoa 38-5 in their first pool match.

Fiji was leading 7-5 at half time before they started executing their free flowing rugby in the second half.

Last weeks DHL Impact Player, Jasa Veremalua was again on form as he scored the first try, produced some impressive offload and  some try assist.

The other tries was scored by Jerry Tuwai, Nemani Nagusa, Sevuloni Mocenacagi, Emosi Mulevoro and Masivesi Dakuwaqa.

Fiji will now take on Portugal at 9.50am and will take on Kenya in the last pool match at 2pm today.

The Cup quarterfinals start at 6.08am tomorrow, the semifinals will be at 10.08am tomorrow while the Cup final will be held at 1pm tomorrow.
