The Fiji soccer team is confident as they countdown to their first match against Tuvalu in the Pacific Games in Samoa this afternoon.
Fiji will defend the Gold medal in Apia and must finish in the top three to qualify for the 2010 World Cup soccer playoffs.
Speaking to Village sports, Coach Carlos Buzzetti said that the team has prepared well and are looking forward to a good outing in Samoa.
The Fiji/Tuvalu match kicks off at 5pm Fiji time.
The Pacific Games opening ceremony will get underway at 4pm Fiji time this afternoon.
