The Digicel Fiji 7s team has moved up to second place on 60 points in the overall standings after successfully beating Samoa 19-14 in the New Zealand 7s finals last night.
Fiji coach Iliesa Tanivula said that one of the major differences he faced with the team in Wellington was a big improvement in the boys discipline on the field.
Tanivula adds the win was even more special when they beat Pacific rivals Samoa.
Looking at the overall standings after the New Zealand 7s, New Zealand is first on 64 points, second is Fiji on 60, third is Samoa on 46 and fourth is England on 44.
Defending IRB 2008/2009 Series, South Africa is on 7th place with 24 points.
