The Digicel Fiji 7s team has rated New Zealand as the team to beat in the opening leg of the IRB 7s series in Dubai this weekend.
After New Zealand 7s Coach Gordon Tietjens labelled the Fiji team as the sleeping giants of the Dubai 7s, Fiji manager Sale Sorovaki said that the Kiwis will be the team to watch.
Sorovaki added that New Zealand has been the most successful team since the inception of the IRB circuit in 1999, and they have always had good sides in recent years, and any team would be foolish to take them lightly.
He said that like all the teams participating they would like to do well as they have always struggled in Dubai in the past 12 years.
Fiji is in Pool D with Portugal, France and England.
They will start their 2010 Dubai 7s campaign with Portugal on Friday at 6.20pm.
