He was once a player that Fiji loved to hate but 42-year-old former All Blacks 7s captain Eric Rush has a reason to thank Fiji Rugby.
Rush said it’s because of the Hong Kong 7s that he was selected to be an All Black.
Rush added he has some good memories when he played Fiji, and there are some players who always gave him a hard time.
But he also said to beat Fiji you have to provoke them.
Speaking at the Fiji Rugby Union Centenary Conference at USP, Rush says Fiji’s inconsistent performance at the World 7s series is due to the amount of changes being made to the team in a tournament.
