Fiji resorts featured prominently at the 2010 Travel Awards held last week in New Delhi, India.

Taveuni Palms Resort took out the top honours after being named Australasia’s Leading Boutique Resort.

Vatulele Island Resort was named Fiji’s Leading Resort and Intercontinental Fiji Golf Resort and Spa in Natadola took the award for Fiji’s Leading Golf Resort.

Namale Resort and Spa in Savusavu took the award for Fiji’s Leading Spa Resort.

Meanwhile, InterContinental Hotels Group chief operating officer Australasia Bruce McKenzie said the award is very encouraging for Fiji and the Hotel Group adding that the hotel had just celebrated its one year of operation in the country.

The hotel features an 18 hole links course, 15 of which hug the coastal reef.
