Trying to get the right combination and player exposure ahead of the IRB 7s series is the main aim of the Fiji 7s team that will be leaving our shore's tonight to take part in the Marist 7s tournament in Samoa.
Team manager, Patrick Gock said the team is ready and looking forward to the tournament.
Only Setefano Cakau and Watisoni Votu are the old members of the team which has players like Livai Ikanikoda, Lepani Botea, James Brown, Aporosa Tabulawaki, Joji Rigamate and U20 rep, Semi Ratudradra in the lineup.
Players like, Nikola Matawalu, Joeli Lutumailagi, Miti Nacagilevu, Emosi Vucago and Leone Nakarawa are tied up with the Sukuna Bowl preparations which will take place on the 11th of next month.
The opening leg of the IRB 7s will kick-off in Gold Coast, Australia on the 25th and 26th of next month.
The Marist 7s to be held in Samoa this weekend will also include invitational teams from New Zealand and Australia.
