The Digicel Fiji 7s have rated New Zealand, Samoa and South Africa as the teams to beat for this weekend’s opening IRB 7s series in Dubai.
Manager Sale Sorovaki said winning in Sri Lanka this morning does not guarantee them the Dubai 7s title which has evaded Fiji for the past 12 years.
Sorovaki added that coach Iliesa Tanivula have tested all of his players in the Sri Lanka 7s and they have worked on various combinations that they believe can do well in Dubai.
For South Africa coach, Paul Treu this series means a new beginning for his boys as most of them have secured their contracts.
Treau lost the IRB 7s series this season to Samoa and he is hoping to start his campaign well on Friday night.
Fiji is in Pool D with Portugal, France and England.
They will start their 2010 Dubai 7s campaign with Portugal on Friday at 6.20pm.
