Fiji has been rated amongst the 15 best value destinations in the world for American travelers by world renowned Forbes.com.
Tourism Fiji chairman Patrick Wong said the rating would put Fiji's tourism industry more competitive with other pacific destinations and even the Asian market.
He added that with the right type of campaigning, more Americans could start choosing Fiji over traditional holiday destinations like Hawaii and the Caribbean.
Meanwhile, Air Pacific said the rating comes at an ideal time when their marketing campaigns are focused on stimulating the North American market with special airfare deals on offer.
