FASANOC President Vidya Lakhan has today finally made the announcement that Fiji is out of the Commonwealth Games later this year in New Delhi.
Lakhan stated in a press conference today that the Commonwealth Games Federation wrote back to them and confirmed that Fiji athletes will not be allowed to take part in New Delhi.
Lakhan said that the Commonwealth Ministerial Action Group announced in August last year the decision that Fiji was out of the games, in a release that was given out.
It stated that although Fiji remained a member of the Commonwealth, they will not be allowed to take part in the games in Delhi.
