The Vodafone Fiji 7s team has qualified for the Cup quarter-finals of the Vancouver 7's after thrashing Portugal 62-0 in their second pool game.
This is so far the highest points scored by any team in the tournament
The national side scored a total of ten tries.
The hero from Las Vegas 7's, Kitione Taliga scored a hat‑trick while young and elusive prop, Masivesi Dakuwaqa also got a hat-trick.
Jasa Veremalua scored twice while the other tries were scored by Savenaca Rawaca and Emosi Mulevoro.
Fiji maintained possession throughout the match as they successfully contested their kick-offs, kept the ball in breakdowns, had more offloads, provided support play and turned defence into attack.
Fiji also defeated Samoa 38-5 in their first pool game.
Fiji will now meet Kenya in their last pool match at 2pm today.
In other matches this morning, USA beat England 17-12, New Zealand beat France 24-10, Samoa beat Kenya 26-19 and South Africa beat Brazil 26-7.
The Cup quarterfinals start at 6.08am tomorrow, the semifinals will be at 10.08am tomorrow while the Cup final will be held at 1pm tomorrow.
