Fiji needs to regroup for NZ 7s
In Dubai, Fiji reached the semi finals losing 21-24 to Samoa while yesterday the side lost to New Zealand in the semi final as well in the dying minutes of the game and coach Iliesa Tanivula said the basic handling errors coupled with silly mistakes cost the team.
Tanivula added that as defending New Zealand 7s champions, they will have to better their performance.
The Digicel Fiji 7s team lost the chance to make it into the finals of the South Africa 7s after Nasoni Roko misjudged a kick and this saw the Kiwis walk away winners.
The management team say that knowing New Zealand are coming off a high, especially after their win yesterday, the Kiwis will look at putting up a strong battle on home soil in the next Tournament.
However, past track records show that the Fiji sevens team have not had a successful first leg but then bounced back at the New Zealand 7s Tournament.
The New Zealand 7s Tournament will be held from the 4th - 5th of February.
