More than forty people involved in the Border Control Agencies were awarded recognition by the Government of the United States yesterday.

Participants at the one week workshop were from the Immigration Department, FIRCA, FIMSA, Police, Quarantine and Ports Authority Officers.

Chief Guest and Deputy Commissioner of Police, Joeli Baleilevuka believes that Fiji needs skillful training on areas of maritime scheme like people smuggling, drug trafficking and money laundering.
