A Fiji National wanted in Vanuatu for allegedly defrauding its national bank, has been re-arrested for breaching his bail conditions.

CID Director Waisea Vakamocea said Shailendra Sinha was arrested last week for various cases after he was bailed and was not supposed to commit another crime while on bail, but police arrested him after he was alleged to be involved in the robbery last week in Tavakubu, Lautoka and also alleged to be involved in the murder of a Nadi jeweller.

Vakamocea said police want to investigate and charge him and it might take time to decide to extradite him to Vanuatu.

Sinha is facing charges of obtaining credit through false pretences, while Vanuatu police want him in Vanuatu, for his connection with an alleged half a million US dollar scam that defrauded the National Bank of Vanuatu.
