The government has started thinking outside the box.
This is the comment made by President of the Fiji Retailers Association Himmat Lodhia at the opening of the Federation of Asia Pacific Retailers Association meeting this morning, which Fiji is hosting for the first time in Suva.
Lodhia said Fiji is starting to move away from archaic laws and archaic way of doing business.
Meanwhile Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed Khaiyum said shopping destinations such as Singapore and Hong Kong are good countries that Fiji can learn from.
The two days meeting will focus on improving business services in the Asia Pacific and its relevance to Fiji.
