The Fiji men’s soccer team has qualified for the Olympic Qualifier final after beating PNG 3-1 in the Olympic Qualifier semifinal just a while ago.
Suva striker Napolioni Qasevakatini scored all the three goals.
New Zealand plays Vanuatu in the second semifinal.
The Olympic Qualifier final will be played on Sunday at 4.30pm.
Meanwhile, the Vodafone Fiji 7s team is through to the semifinal gold medal playoff after thrashing Vanuatu 54-5 in the gold medal playoff quarterfinal.
Fiji led 21-5 at halftime.
The semifinals start at 4.56pm and the final is at 9.49pm tonight.
Looking at the Fijivillage Pacific Games medal tally, Papua New Guinea is leading with 31 gold, 16 silver and 11 bronze.
Team Fiji is in fifth place with 8 gold, 15 silver and 13 bronze.
