The Fiji men's hockey team scored their first goal in the World Hockey League Round 2 last night against China but it was not enough as they lost 4-1.
70th ranked Fiji showed a better performance than in previous matches and fought well against 18th ranked China.
Adrian Smith scored for Fiji and was named Player of the Match.
The women's team were hammered 10-0 by India last night.
Meanwhile the men's side will take on Bangladesh tomorrow night while the women's will face Malaysia tonight.
