The Vodafone Fiji 7s team has lost their first pool match of the Las Vegas 7s going down to Samoa 28-24.

Samoa scored five tries with two being scored by captain Falemiga Selesele in the first half.

Meanwhile Fiji looked tired in defence which Samoa capitalized on.

The Ben Ryan coach side scored four tries with two from Isake Katonibau and one try each from Nemani Nagusa and Osea Kolinisau.

They will now play France at 4.20pm.

Their last pool game is against Argentina at 8.38am tomorrow.

The Cup quarter finals will start at 1.31pm tomorrow.

The semifinals kick off at 8.50am Monday while the Cup Final will kick off at 11.57am Monday.
