The Fiji 7s team have lost the Cup Finals of the FORU 7's tournament to hosts Samoa by 19-7.

Team Manager, Patrick Gock said though the boys played well in the past matches, the wet weather affected their performance to a better side who played well at home.

In other results Papua New Guinea beat Niue 12-5 to win the Shield final.

Cook Islands beat American Samoa 12-7 in the Bowl final and Tonga defeated Australia 28-12 to win the Plate final.

In the results earlier today Fiji beat Australia 33-5 in the semifinals and Samoa beat Tonga 33-0.

The team will return home for the announcement of the new 7's coach to take them to the first IRB series to be held in Gold Coast, Australia from November 25th - 26th.
