The Digicel Fiji Sevens team remains on track to win their 4th straight gold medal at the World Games Sevens rugby competition.

Fiji in the last hour defeated South Africa 21 points to 7 in the semifinal to reach the final.

Seremaia Burotu scored twice while Emosi Vucago also managed a try to put Fiji into the gold medal playoff.

They will now play the winner of the Argentina and Portugal match in the final at 7:25pm today.

It's highly likely that Argentina will meet Fiji as they remain unbeaten in the competition so far.

Fiji beat Hong Kong 26-10, then Japan by 19-10 before losing to Argentina in the final pool match last night by 17-7.

In the quarterfinal today, Fiji beat Chinese Taipei by 28 points to 5.
