The Fiji Sevens team is in a tough pool in the Australia Sevens that will be held in Adelaide this weekend.

Fiji is in pool B with World Cup runners-up Argentina, France and Scotland.

Hosts Australia is in pool A with England, Samoa and Portugal.

Newly-crowned Rugby World Cup Sevens champions Wales face New Zealand in Pool C on Friday night, along with USA and Tonga.

The Welsh beat Gordon Tietjens side by 15-14 in their World Cup quarter final and also overcame the Kiwis in Wellington in February, so there is much riding on the outcome of that match.

Reigning Adelaide champions South Africa top Pool D and start their title defense on Friday against the Cook Islands, with further matches against RWC Sevens semifinalists Kenya and Asia's number one side, Japan.

Fiji's first pool game is on Friday night at 8:28 against Scotland.

The Australia Sevens kicks off at 7pm.
