The Fiji soccer team goes into a must-win situation this week as they travel to Noumea to meet New Caledonia in their 2010 World Cup playoffs.

Fiji’s chances of going through is in doubt after they ended their second qualifying home-game against New Caledonia yesterday in a
3 all draw.

Fiji's goals came from Osea Vakatalesau who scored two, while Valerio Nawatu grabbed another for Fiji but New Caledonia kept up the fight and scored three brilliant goals in the second spell.

Fiji was leading 2 nil but blunders in the second half saw New Caledonia score three goals to draw the match.

The Carlos Buzetti coached side now has 1 point from two games as they lost their opening match to New Zealand by 2 nil earlier this year.

In the other game played yesterday, the New Zealand All Whites came from behind to beat Vanuatu 2-1 in their Oceania Nations Cup football match in Port Vila.

The All Whites next match is against Vanuatu in Wellington on Wednesday.
