Three athletes will be leading the charge for Fiji in Parasports at the Pacific Games.

They are Epeli Bolaibau who will be taking part in the 100 metres, Jone Bogidrau in the Shotput seated and Pio Motei in the Javelin.

There are no female athletes in the team.

Coach Fred Fatiaki says the team started training since the end of last year and is ready to deliver their best at the Pacific Games.

Fatiaki says all of the athletes have been performing well and have been able to pay their levy through the assistance of Shop and Save Athletics Fiji.

Four medals will be contested in Parasports and Fiji is taking part in three of those events.

Team Fiji still requires $120,000 to make its $2.1 million budget for the Pacific Games.

The government has so far given $600,000 to FASANOC.

The Pacific Games will be held from the 4th to the 18th of next month in Papua New Guinea.
