The Commonwealth Telecommunication Organization chief said the global participation at the conference in Nadi and the content of discussions were highly impressive despite Fiji's suspension from the Commonwealth.

Speaking at the CTO/ITU conference, Dr Ekwow Spio-Garbrah said Fiji has been fantastic and very committed and the CTO hopes to continue to engage with and assist Fiji on a number of development initiatives, especially in areas of research, consultancy, training, and capacity building as and when the need arises.

He said Fiji is one of the best places in the Asia-Pacific region as it has international standard quality rooms, golfing, and entertainment and overall the people of Fiji are renowned for their hospitality and generosity throughout.

The meeting concludes tomorrow at the Sheraton Resort in Nadi.
