The Vodafone Fiji Sevens team is through to the Cup quarter finals of the Las Vegas 7's.

This was after winning their second pool match against Wales in a narrow victory 28-24 and thrashed Samoa 36-0.

Fiji’s 28 points was only scored in the first half before Wales utilized all the possession to score four tries in the second half.

Coach Ben Ryan made an early changes in the second half to Semi Kunatani, Jerry Tuwai and Viliame Mata.

Captain Osea Kolinisau scored two tries while Viliame Mata and Savenaca Rawaca scored one each.

Barring any upset, Fiji will either meet Australia, France or Scotland in the quarter finals.

They will now face New Zealand in their last pool game at 9.05am tomorrow.

The Cup quarter‑finals will be at 1.14pm tomorrow.

The Cup semis will kick off at 8.32am Monday while the final of the Las Vegas 7s will start at 11.25am Monday.

South Africa is the defending champions of the Vegas 7's.
