It was sweet revenge for the Flying Fijians after they beat Tonga 27-12 at Churchill Park yesterday.
Fiji played well in the first half after scoring three tries to Vereniki Goneva, Rupeni Nasiga and Kini Murimurivalu, while Seremaia Bai slotted in two penalties in the second spell.
Assistant coach Shannon Fraser believed there are some positive outcomes from yesterday’s game.
Meanwhile Fiji will meet Tonga for their second test match at 4:30pm next Friday at Churchill Park.
