Fiji draws with USA in second match
This comes after Fiji were far from their best as they were held to a 19-all draw by USA in their second pool match.
Fiji and USA are now undefeated in their pool and a must win final pool match for both teams to confirm their places in the Cup quarters and it may come down to points differential.
Lanky Pio Tuwai was the toast of the side as he scored the opening try and set up one of Samisoni Viriviri’s two tries.
Fiji led 12-5 at halftime.
Coordination in defense is still a major concern as players were caught missing one on one tackles.
In just two games, Fiji has conceded six tries.
Meanwhile, Fiji got off to a shaky start after beating France 22-19 in their opening pool match at the Japan 7s tournament.
The Vodafone Fiji 7s team will take on Samoa in their last pool match at 8.52pm.
Barring any upsets Fiji is expected to meet either South Africa, Kenya or Argentina in the Cup quarterfinals.
