The Vodafone Fiji 15's team drew 30-all with Samoa in the Pacific Nations Cup match in Sacramento.

Fiji had good chances of winning the match as the side led 17-10 at halftime.

Leone Nakarawa scored two tries and Metuisela Talebula got the third try in the first half.

Fiji showed good forward play and aggressive defense which forced the Samoans to make some crucial mistakes in the first half.

The Flying Fijians made the perfect start to the second half with a try from Gabiriele Lovobalavu.

However, Samoa fought their way back into the game soon after and put Fiji under pressure on numerous occasions.

Samoa scored three tries in the second half.

Ben Volavola kicked a crucial penalty in the 76th to give Fiji a three point advantage but Samoa levelled the scores just two minutes later with a penalty kick. 

Fiji 15's coach, John Mckee says at times they played very well but they also gave away too many penalties.

Fiji’s next match will be against Japan at 10pm next Wednesday.
