The Fiji Airways Men’s National 7's team defeated Kenya 22-5 in their first pool match of the Hong Kong 7s last night.
Aminiasi Tuimaba scored the first try in the second minute and soon after Vilimoni Botitu crossed over for their second try to extend their lead by 10-0.
Fiji continued to dominate in attack and defence which later saw Jerry Tuwai scoring their third try in the game.
Fiji led 17‑0 at halftime.
The lead did not deter the Kenyans as they continued to provide the challenge in the second half where they scored their only try of the match.
Alasio Naduva crossed the try line just before the hooter to seal the win for Fiji.

In other matches, Samoa beat Scotland 17‑7,South Africa defeated Japan 22‑7, England beat Wales 36‑19, USA defeated Spain 36‑7 and New Zealand thrashed Australia 40-19.

Fiji will now take on Australia at 5.13pm today and play their final pool match against New Zealand at 8.55pm tonight.
The Cup quarterfinals will start at 2.58pm tomorrow, Cup semifinals start at 7.41pm while the Cup final is at 11pm tomorrow.
