Fiji could meet Samoa in USA 7s semis
Fiji and Samoa played in the final in Wellington last weekend and barring any upset, the two are expected to meet again, this time in the semifinal.
Fiji booked their place in the quarterfinals after winning all their pool games.
They beat USA 14-12, then defeated Canada 26-12 and stood tall against South Africa beating them by 12-5.
Fiji will meet Australia in the last quarterfinal at 10.34 this morning.
The first Cup quarterfinal will be between New Zealand and South Africa at 9:28am.
Then at 9:50 England plays Kenya with the third quarterfinal match-up between Samoa and Wales.
A new champion will also be crowned at the USA 7s after defending champions Argentina failed to qualify for the Cup quarterfinal.
Fiji remains favourite to win the USA 7s later this afternoon.
